One Day, It Will All Be Worth It “One day, it will all be worth it” can mean something different to each of us. It might describe someone with social anxiety practicing conversations in the mirror, carefully memorizing a few lines so that when the moment comes, speaking feels a little easier. It might describe a mother who was told that her child had low muscle tone but refused to be discouraged. She tried countless styles of tricycles and other activities until she discovered that her child was naturally drawn to a kick scooter...something that would bring him confidence, freedom, and joy well into young adulthood. Or it might describe a young woman working late nights at a movie theater, only to wake up early the next morning for an IT class.      The rude moment.  The expected problem.  The plans that didn't quite work.        That's when FOTYL-Find One Thing You Love can be a gentle reminder to find one small thing that makes the day feel a little lighter.        A favorite playlist.  A good cup of coffee.  A comfort show.  A creative project.  A quiet moment.  It doesn't have to fix the whole day.  Just find one thing you love.   Our FOTYL acronym bracelet is a wearable reminder to carry that thought with you.

Saying no can give us the peace we deserve.      Saying no can free up valuable time in an already hectic day, giving us room to enjoy the things we love...no matter how small they may seem.      It could be as simple as stopping for a favorite beverage or spending a little more time than expected in a store you enjoy. If you had said yes to another commitment, that time might have been limited or lost altogether.       Sometimes, saying no to one thing allows us to say yes to ourselves.

When I was a teenager in the 1980s, we loved creating cassette playlists for friends who were moving away, starting new adventures, or simply because. There was something special about choosing songs for someone else—each one selected with that person in mind. I still enjoy making playlists today, although the process looks a little different. Instead of cassette tapes, I use microSD cards and share them with family and friends. I have even purchased inexpensive MP3 players as gifts, giving my loved ones a dedicated way to enjoy their music while allowing me to continue doing something I love. F...
